Description
A vintage chest of drawers, which we believe is made of fruit wood. It has been fully restored in our workshop, and is in a very solid, sturdy condition.
The top has been sanded and refinished, with stripes in Dulux Heritage Stone Green. The body and drawers were sanded and whitewashed in Annie Sloan Old White chalk paint, and a stencil of cow parsley and grasses was added, in a mix of the Stone Green and a little black paint. The rustic cup handles were also painted to match the chest. It has all been finished with several coats of neutral wax for protection.
This chest has a natural beachy feel, I think I must have had summer holidays by the sea on my mind when I was refinishing it!
