A vintage pine desk of very solid construction, it was obviously quite an expensive model when it was new…
We have sanded and painted the body black and decoupaged Fornasetti Frutto Proibito wallpaper by Cole & Son on the front, which makes quite a statement! The iron cup handles have been painted black, gilded in bronze leaf and waxed. The paper has been protected with several coats of varnish and the paint has been given a black wax finish.
This desk is in great condition, and is solid as a rock! It’s definitely an eye-catching piece, as practical as it is stylish.
